About Me

My Background

As an undergraduate I attended Harvard University where I concentrated in Film Studies through the Visual and Environmental Studies Department, and minored in psychology and the French language. While there, I also participated in a wide range of extracurricular activities and programs including peer counseling, film critique, performing arts, study abroad, and the campus newspaper The Harvard Crimson. I love dogs, chocolate, New York City, and embarrassingly bad television.

As A Tutor

I have scored in the 99th percentile on both the SAT and the ACT. I began tutoring as a student in high school and have continued throughout the years, even offering my services to students abroad. Since graduating from Harvard, I have freelanced with several elite test prep companies and admissions essay consulting firms.

As an independent tutor, I am not limited to one particular technique or a rigid curriculum. My lessons are structured so that they systematically cover important content. However, I allow enough flexibility to ensure that lessons support students’ strengths and hone in on their weaknesses. Whenever possible, I place great emphasis on the use of real test questions for practice in order to best prepare each student for test day.

I tutor in-person in the NYC area as well as online. Test prep has been an obsession of mine for many years now, and I aim to share my enthusiasm with each student I encounter!
